Influence of Ultrasound on the Properties of Polysaccharide Complexes and Materials Based on Them

Freeze-drying is often used as a final stage to produce three-dimensional porous matrices for medicine. Because pure solvent crystallizes first during freezing, it acts pore-forming agent. The size of the crystals primarily depends on cooling rate and composition material be frozen. Ultrasonic treatment also affects can control structure matrix. This article describes effect ultrasound (40 kHz, 50 W) applied at preliminary freezing polysaccharide solutions (alginate, chitosan, alginate–chitosan alginate–gelatin) finished matrix properties. most attention was paid shape formed which leads change in after sublimation. As result changes microstructure, number differences vibrational spectra molecules values pore volume, sorption capacity, permeability degradation were identified.
